What is Pitra Paksha?
Pitra Paksha, also known as Shraddh Paksha or Mahalaya Paksha, is a sacred 15-day period in the Hindu calendar dedicated to remembering and honoring our ancestors (Pitru). During these days, Hindus perform Shraddh, Tarpan, and other rituals to pay homage to their forefathers and seek their blessings.
